For more detailed information on FP7 and expected Calls, please contact a National Contact Point designated for country and area. The writing of proposals for one of these calls is fully supported by the EMDESK® Proposal Preparation Module. The EMDESK team is proud to announce the recently launched EMDESK 1.7 - a major release that includes significant usability and performance enhancements.

More flexible and revised notification system
One of the most important enhancements is the more flexible and convenient notification system. Each user is able to configure the notifications he wants to receive and to specify the reminder dates. A link contained in the notification-mail forwards the user directly to the referenced section in EMDESK.

Enhanced functionality and more user-friendly text authoring
Additional checks and alerts have been implemented into the text editor to make the editing and saving processes more traceable. Furthermore, the editor has been updated to make formatting more convenient with additional features, e.g. different font sizes, numbered bullet points, coloured text etc.

Financial reporting
The financial tables from the periodic reports have been introduced in the interim reports. The cost items entered for the time of the interim report will be included.

Other enhancements
The generation of exports for proposals, DoW-documents and reports to DOCX has been further developed to be faster and more robust. Furthermore, EMDESK enables users to create shared links (bookmarks) related to the project. As a new feature, a more detailed “rights management” was introduced into the Document Management System to specify access rights to all sub folders and documents.

With almost 700 proposals prepared and an increasing number of projects managed with EMDESK, the tool represents the most advanced proposal writing and project management platform for FP7.

The extended proposal application EMDESK Proposal Preparation Pro offers, besides the known features like the flexible financial calculation support and collaborative Part B content preparation, a number of new features: The collaboration functionalities feature a document management system with version and access control, internal email tracking system, mailing lists management, project internal wiki system and forum as well a shared online calendar. The announced project website generator will follow soon.

Until 31th December, 2010, the EMDESK Proposal Preparation Module Pro is offered free of charge. Afterwards, the Proposal Preparation Module will continue to be available free of charge, except the collaboration features. These functionalities will be available for a one-time fee.
