Project related information and user accounts are stored on the EMDESK servers and are not deleted until 8 years after project official end. Access to the project area can be obtained in this period by the coordinator on request.
EMDESK does the best to provide and maintain a bug-free and fully functioning platform. We would very much welcome any report on bugs or suggestions for new features. In such case, please send an email to support@emdesk.com.

EMDESK is a collaborative proposal writing and project management system for research projects in FP7. EMDESK helps to write proposal correctly, calculate project budget and EC Contribution accurately and implement and report project progress. EMDESK prepares properly the information required for EPSS, NEF and FORCE to be uploaded.
At any time reports and financial forms depending on defined reporting periods can be generated on demand and downloaded to the desktop. EMDESK exports ready-for-submission Interim and Periodic Reports, Cost Statements and Financial Reports for further streamlining in all major word processing or calculation software like Microsoft® Word™ or Excel™.
EMDESK provides the generation and export of Distribution of EC Contribution, Financial Summary and Form C for each of the partners and period to in an EC approvable format in EXCEL. The exported spreadsheets are in accordance with the FP7 Guidelines.
In EMDESK users can only access (read/write) their partner information, except users granted with coordinator rights. These have total access and additional controlling features.
There is no limited number of users in EMDESK. You can invite and provide access to as many persons per organisation as you desire. The pricing of EMDESK depends only on the number of participants in the project.

Your account is inactive due to security reasons. Most of the times, there have been more than 3 failed attempts to login. In such events, please contact the Customer Support.
Please register your project/proposal with the EMDESK Proposal Preparation Module via our website. Please click at the Register button or at the following link to be forwarded to the EMDESK Registration Page https://emdesk.eu/cms/?s=221.
After you log on, you get to your blank EMDESK project in the Proposal Preparation Module, where you can design the proposal/project plan data. After finishing the proposal preparation, switch over the project to the Negotiation Module or the Implementation Module. In any case you need to enter the plan data in the Proposal Preparation Module.
A fully working version of the EMDESK FP7 Project Management Platform can be tested at http://demo.emdesk.eu without registration and at no charge. The demo is pre-populated with fictive proposal, description of work and project information to experiment with the features and processes three phases proposal writing and submission, negotiation and implementation of FP7 projects in EMDESK.
No, there is no other installation, configuration and maintenance necessary. EMDESK is a browser-based web application implemented for common systems. After receiving your access details to your personal EMDESK area, you can login via login.emdesk.eu. The EMDESK System is compatible with any operating system and browser that supports JavaScript.
Your data is backed up nightly and written to multiple disks instantly. We can perform full backup recovery in the event of a system-wide emergency. Our hardware is also fully redundant, so even if one disk or server fails nothing will be lost and the system will not crash. Our uptime is over 99%.
One of EMDESK's highest priorities is keeping your information protected and secure. We take all reasonable precautions to keep your information safe. Authentication is encrypted during every access by a MD5 mechanism, a cryptographic hash function with a 128-bit hash value. Encryption provides endpoint certificate-based authentication and confidentiality over the Internet (SSL 256 bits). Additional data protection is warranted by encrypted connection and encrypted storage in the database. Not even our development team is able to read or decrypt project information or account data. Our state-of-the-art redundant server cluster is hosted and professionally managed by 1&1 Provider, one of the biggest and most experienced host providers.
EMDESK provides an extensive export off your on-line project information in EMDESK to off-line documents. EMDESK automatically generates Proposals, Technical Annex and all the Reports and Financial Statements that have to be provided during project implementation and exports them to RTF and XLS format at any time.
The EMDESK is a web application service accessible at https://emdesk.eu/ by a regular web-browser. EMDESK is usually only offered as a hosted product. We maintain the servers, the security, all the updates, improvements and FP7 adjustments so you don't have to worry about anything.
We provide unlimited support via email for our customers, but we don't provide support over the phone. We do our best to respond to every email within just a few hours of receiving it.
No, we don't charge sign-up fees, termination fees, or any additional fees. The Proposal Preparation Module is free of charge for everyone. For the switch over to the Negotiation Module we charge a one-time fee. The price you pay for the Project Management Module is simply the fixed yearly fee based on the number of contractors and project coordinators (each Module allows unlimited user registrations).
The EMDESK interface will be only available in English, because of the linguistic consistency with the European Commission. However, we will offer an instant translation on mouse roll-over event and we try to include all the European languages step by step (prospective). Then each user can choose which language he/she wants to work with, regardless of the account's default language. You can switch from English to French at any time by selecting default language in the preferences.
There are no advertisements on our website or sent by email, no matter which customer you are. We deal with your details and data confidentially and in a secure fashion.
You can proceed by bank wire transfer or by check. In both cases, we need to send you an electronic bill, which will include our mailing address and our banking information as well, if necessary. Your request will be processed within 24 hours after reception of your payment.
