Increase efficiency – focus on research

EMDESK announces today the launch of EMDESK 1.5 - enhanced proposal writing and project management tool for research projects in the Framework Programme 7. Based on the feedback of users and partners, the new release provides advanced features with more flexibility to various individual requirements.

With the new release, EMDESK is introducing significant performance and usability enhancements.

Improved Budget Planning and Fine-tuning with flexible cost categorization, full support of the FP7 lump sum method, and setting of individual flat rates for indirect costs calculation		Average Personnel Cost rate calculation support for the estimation of staff costs on various personnel rates
Enhanced Budget vs. Cost Controlling for detailed monitoring at project, partner, activity, cost category and period level		Flexible Cost Reporting System for a more accurate and contiunous recording of each eligible costs per partner

Main new features in EMDESK 1.5 are amongst others that the Document Manager is extended to provide file versioning and option to set various access permissions to files, and additional significant and state-to-the-art precautions are implemented to assure highest security for project information and documents. Also the export of interim and periodic reports is adapted to be in accordance with recently updated FP7 templates of the European Commission.
