Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum: leveraging EMDESK for multiple projects

Since 1990, Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum (SEZ) offers advisory and support services for accessing European research and technology transfer programmes with the aim of sustaining and developing the innovation ability in the German region of Baden-Württemberg. The centre’s main clientele are SMEs, research institutes, universities and development agencies in the region.

SEZ helps clients to prepare European project bids and manage projects, by supporting technology transfer and by facilitating networks. Having been involved in over 40 European projects and often undertaking the proposal preparation and project management, sophisticated methodologies and tools are an important success factor for SEZ.

Since 2010, the Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum uses EMDESK as its tool of choice for developing and managing European projects such as BioNexGenI-Ramp³Exa2GreenIntuitel and MobyPost.

Eduardo Herrmann, Senior Project Manager Production Technologies, Economics and Social Sciences, states:

"EMDESK is a useful and functional web service, which facilitates the management of EU research projects. EMDESK has positively evolved since its launch and the administration services react promptly to resolve issues. More importantly, EMDESK is always open to hear recommendations for improvement and to act accordingly for its implementation. EMDESK differentiates itself from other competitors due to its user-friendly interface and the wide range of functions it offers. In short, EMDESK offers good value for money. We are extending the use of EMDESK since it integrates well into our workflow and helps to manage projects efficiently."
