Mr Massimiliano Esposito

Massimiliano Esposito has been working for more than 15 years at the European Commission, mainly on industrial and research policy, transport and space, and budgetary issues. He is currently deputy head of the unit dealing with the strategic planning and programming of Horizon Europe – the EU funding programme for research and innovation. From 2015 to 2020, he has worked in the Secretariat-General of the Commission following up the preparation and negotiations of the multiannual financial framework 2021-2027. He has covered several positions both in the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs and in the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport. Massimiliano Esposito graduated from the University of Naples – Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering and holds a PhD.
