Keeping our clients' data secure, protected and confidential is an absolute top priority at EMDESK. We put enterprise-grade security measures in place with strong technical, logical, and legal precautions to protect your data from loss or unauthorized access.

EMDESK is entirely developed and maintained by our workforce in Germany, with proven, long-standing experience. All production systems and customer data are hosted exclusively in Germany with Hetzner Online, on dedicated servers in two physically separate data centers in Falkenstein/Vogtland. No customer application data is processed outside of Germany. Hetzner's infrastructure is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022, BSI C5 Type 2, and KRITIS standards.

Penetration tests

To ensure that your data is protected from unauthorised access, third-party security assessments and penetration tests are available for Enterprise Plan customers. Detailed test reports can be shared under a confidentiality agreement and upon request.

Hosting Infrastructure (Hetzner Online)

EMDESK is hosted exclusively in Germany with Hetzner Online. Hetzner's hosting infrastructure is regularly audited and certified by independent institutions, including ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (certified by SOCOTEC), BSI C5 Type 2, and KRITIS certification by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). Technical and organizational measures are regularly audited by TUV Rheinland.

What happens to my data after my project ends?

Paid subscriptions will retain their data until you request its deletion, if your subscriptions ends, your account will move to a free plan with limited access to your data. In the case of inactive accounts, we may contact you after some time to ask you if the data is still needed, otherwise it will be deleted.
