EARMA Digital Conference 2020

This year’s EARMA conference will be held as a digital event on 1, 2, 5 and 6 October. Providing an interactive space for sharing field insights, this very special conference is going to cover today’s most relevant discussion and hot topics in research management & administration.

The European Association of Research Managers and Administrators represents the community of Research Managers and Administrators (RM&As) in the EU and works together with the EU Commission and both national and international funding agencies. EARMA members come from different areas, such as academia, industry, the public and private sectors. EARMA facilitates networking among them and the wider community of RM&As as well. It has proven to be a quality platform for sharing experiences and best practices, particularly in research project management.

This year’s EARMA conference will be held as a digital event on 1, 2, 5 and 6 October. Providing an interactive space for sharing field insights, this very special conference is going to cover today’s most relevant discussion and hot topics in research management & administration. Live sessions will be organized around the four following key areas:

  • Open Science the new normal? / Thursday, October 1, 2020, 14:00 – 16:30 (CEST)
  • Living the project life cycle / Friday, October 2, 2020, 14:00 – 16:30 (CEST)
  • Supporting researchers and building the ideal Research Support Office – Professional and office development in research administration / Monday, October 5, 2020, 14:00 – 16:30 (CEST)
  • Horizon Europe: solving the puzzle /Tuesday, October 6, 2020, 14:00 – 16:30 (CEST)

The four-afternoon programme of the event inspires the attendees to participate as much as possible by making the conference particularly flexible. Attendees will receive all video presentations and slides in advance to watch them at the convenient time before the event, so they can focus on Q&A sessions and panel discussions during the conference itself.

EARMA conferences are known to be a place where research managers and administrators not only get smart, creative, and innovative ideas, but also build social relations. This year EARMA will offer the attendees this opportunity by organizing online one-hour networking groups to discuss the topics of the day after each presentation.
