Every year policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and citizens from Europe and beyond meet each other during the European Research and Innovation Days organized by the European Commission to debate the future of research and innovation policy.
This year, the event is especially important - entering a post-corona period, our societies more than ever need research and innovation to make this transition sustainable, inclusive, and resilient. On September 22-24, attendees of the online sessions will have an opportunity to connect, take stock of research and innovation achievements on the pandemic and build on the EU’s response: worldwide coordination of excellent science for global health, as well as social and economic recovery.
The draft programme of the interactive sessions is already prepared. Letting participants contribute to research and innovation policy and funding, it aims to help accelerate Europe's recovery and pave the way to a green, digital, and resilient future. Building on the success of last year, European Research and Innovation Days 2020 will feature three days of intensive policy co-designing, thought-provoking panels and matchmaking opportunities.
