Each new feature that EMDESK releases has been made with the user in mind as our efforts reflect what our users need and have been asking for. These features facilitate better project oversight and control, and help improve your project dynamic.

What are the new features?

Confidential salary rates

Privacy is an important aspect in EMDESK, and we want to create a safe environment for EMDESK users. We are introducing a new privacy toggle, in order to blur personnel salary rates. Now you are able to hide these rates from others and keep your employees’ financial profiles private.


Login with Microsoft

Logging into EMDESK is now easier than before. If you have a Microsoft business or institutional account you can now sign up and login through your Microsoft account for instant access to EMDESK. Existing users can connect their EMDESK account with their MS account in their profile.


Improved Activity and Participant TreeSelect

When now using filters to narrow down your lists for selected Activities and Participants, you will see the entire tree structure as Workplan or Participants. This makes finding and selecting the right element easier than ever. Additionally, we have added a “Select All” elements option in the filter.


New table columns: % of Total Budget/Expenses

We are adding two new columns in the table settings, % of Total Budget and % of Total Expenses. These columns will be seen in the Workplan and in the Participants section. This will allow you to easily monitor the percentage of the total planned or consumed by the activity.

Lookup budget/expense item

Easily identify the budget or expense items behind a value in detail, by using the lookup icon to find the cost entries that leads up to the total value shown. This option is available in the Workplan, Participant, and Analytics section. Hover over a value and click the magnifier icon, a tab to Resources with all relevant entries will open.


Improvements:

  • Excel exports now support right cell formatting
  • Performance improvements: changes are now even faster saved and displayed to the user
  • Financial profile: We have enabled more decimal support for more accurate monthly and annual productive hour setup
