What are the new features?

New EMDESK free plan

From project proposal to completion, there is a lot of collaborative work to be done. Misunderstandings, numerous file versions and wasted time are the typical pitfalls project teams face every day. However, the decision for this or that tool is not easy, and the chosen tool should last a long time and prove to be efficient. And we know that cost is a major factor in deciding what tools to commit, especially during proposal writing and project planning. With that in mind and with our desire to make EMDESK available to anyone, we have decided to make our Free plan just as feature-rich as our paid plans.

Starting from today, you will be able to use EMDESK for free with your project teams and partners by signing up to our new free plan. With unlimited users and all essential functionalities, our new free plan answers the needs of project teams during the project planning and proposal stage. You will be able to work together on the project workplan and budget, co-author proposals using pre-built templates in EMDocs and store all of them, along with other important documents, in a central document repository. As it also includes essential analytics, and basic reporting functionalities, the plan is also perfect for teams that are just getting starting with the project execution.

Guest users

Sometimes you need to work closely with colleagues, people, externals, partners, or consultants outside of your day-to-day project team, who only need access to specific work items and documents, but not your entire work space. So, for paid plans we are happy to introduce free guest users that you can easily invite to your project workspace.

With Guest users, you’ll be able to grant people secure read access to all or specified items, participants, or documents by inviting them as guests. To allow an efficient collaboration, they will be a part of the project contact list and be able to enter comments, take part in discussions, join video calls, access and download documents. Guest users can be managed in the new Guests tab in the 'Users' section:
